Falling out of practice—and presence
You ever get into a place where you know what makes you feel good—exercise, meditation, reading, journaling, etc—but you just can’t seem to be able to do it? For me, it goes hand-in-hand with losing my presence, and feeling untethered.
Doing less
If we're always doing, we're never being. If we're always beholden to other people's or clients' needs, we're abandoning our own. What if we didn't have to work so hard, and could still be happy and successful? Like a watched pot that never boils...are we unknowingly making our lives harder and less fulfilling by trying TOO much?
Stopping the Shoulds
There are so many things we do in life because we feel like we “should.” But who’s telling us we should? Why do we feel like we need to listen? And what would happen if we stopped shoulding on ourselves, and tuned-in more to our wants and inner knowing?
Rethinking my beliefs
If you cling too tightly to your beliefs, there’s no room to grow. Or unlearn. Or rediscover. These are wise words that are definitely not mine, but I do believe they’re true. I’ve been rethinking a lot of what I believe lately, and it’s led to a few aha moments.
